Caratpillar is an independent price comparison and market intelligence service for diamonds. We aggregate publicly available pricing information from third-party diamond retailers and present it in a comparative format. Caratpillar does not sell diamonds, gemstones, jewelry, or any physical product. We do not act as an agent, broker, or intermediary for any transaction between you and any retailer.

Prices are indicative, not guaranteed. Diamond prices shown on Caratpillar are sourced from third-party affiliate product feeds and other publicly available sources. They are updated weekly. Actual prices on retailer websites may differ from those shown due to stock availability, pricing changes, currency fluctuations, and other factors. Always verify the current price directly on the retailer's website before making any purchasing decision.

Tax information is general guidance only. Information regarding import duties, VAT, and other taxes is provided for general educational purposes. Tax rates and rules change. Caratpillar is not a licensed tax advisor, customs broker, or legal professional. Do not rely on our tax information for specific purchasing decisions without consulting qualified professionals in your jurisdiction.

Market analysis is not financial advice. Content including the Diamond Price Index (DPI), Time-to-Buy Score, Deal Radar, and all editorial commentary represents our independent analysis and opinion. It does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Diamond purchases are personal consumer decisions and should not be treated as financial investments.

Caratpillar makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or suitability of any information on this site.

Caratpillar links to independent third-party retailers. We do not control, operate, or take responsibility for those retailers' websites, products, pricing, availability, quality, customer service, return policies, warranties, or any other aspect of their business operations.

Your purchase from any retailer linked on Caratpillar is a transaction solely between you and that retailer, subject to that retailer's own terms and conditions. Caratpillar is not a party to any such transaction and accepts no liability for any issue arising from a purchase made through our site.

If you have a dispute with a retailer, you must resolve it directly with that retailer. Caratpillar cannot intervene in disputes between users and retailers.

All original content on Caratpillar — including text, analysis, editorial content, the Diamond Price Index methodology, the Deal Radar algorithm, the Time-to-Buy Score methodology, interface design, and code — is the property of Caratpillar and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.

You may share links to Caratpillar pages freely. You may not reproduce, scrape, copy, or redistribute our content, data, or price indices without express written permission.

Price data published via our public API (/api/market) is licensed under CC BY 4.0 — you may use and share it freely with attribution: "Data: Caratpillar.com".

By using Caratpillar you agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from this site without written permission
• Use automated means to access the site in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Attempt to circumvent any rate limiting, security measures, or access controls

Price alerts are best-effort notifications. We do not guarantee that alerts will be sent within any specific timeframe or that a price at or below your threshold will be available when you receive an alert. Alert availability depends on third-party data feeds and Supabase database availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Caratpillar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss resulting from purchasing a diamond based on prices shown on this site
• Loss resulting from reliance on tax, customs, or duty information on this site
• Loss resulting from purchasing decisions informed by the DPI, Time-to-Buy Score, or Deal Radar
• Any damage arising from downtime, data loss, or interruption of the price alert service

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of Caratpillar shall not exceed €100.

Caratpillar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply regardless of any choice of law provision. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we make changes. Material changes will be communicated to newsletter subscribers. Continued use of Caratpillar after changes constitutes acceptance.
